So, today was yet another busy day at school. I was walking back to my apartment tired, sweaty and sore, wishing I was in my familiar hometown, with familiar faces. Once I made the arduous climb up the stairs and was able to unlock the fickle door I found something I was not expecting. The carpet in my entire apartment was replaced with pergo flooring. I walked down the hallway to find my bedroom absolutely spotless, cleaner then I have ever seen any room before. I put my stuff down on the bed and walked into my bathroom. Just like my bedroom, my bathroom was immaculate. To top off the cleanliness, my bathroom was three times its original size. It was perfectly organized, beautifully decorated and so unbelievably perfect!! While wandering around looking at the newly decorated (and cleaned) apartment, I couldn’t help but wonder who did this. So a thought popped into my head “Check the shower.” So that I did. I walked from the sparkling living room to the dazzling hallway, passing both of my roommate’s rooms (who were not lucky enough to have their rooms cleaned and redecorated) to my gleaming bedroom, walking around my beautifully made bed, still with my books and backpack on it, to my flawless bathroom to check the shower. I open the shower curtain, and to my surprise, no one was there. However, there is a clue to the redesign culprit. It was my mother’s purse. Once I saw her purse I immediately started searching for her. Not only was I excited for my redesign and cleaning, I was ecstatic to see my mother. I went searching for what felt like years to find her hiding behind a cute wicker shelve in my bathroom. Once I saw her I ran over to give her a gigantic hug. Before I could make it to where she was standing the song “It’s a Beautiful Morning” by The Rascals started playing. Confused I looked around for where the music was coming from and found the source of the ironic musical montage. It just so happened to be my alarm clock playing my beloved “wake up” song telling me its 6:00am and time for me to wake up.
Oh how I wish my dream was reality….

Which purse? And was I skinny -- that would be cool -- I bet I was because that is the only way I could fit behind a wicker cabinet! Love, Mom
