Top 10? Oh yea? I've got a top 20!!

I sent this to my mom, and figured, hey why not share it with the rest of the world! --Meg

20 Things I have taken for granted (and miss terribly):

1. White kitchen counters (they look so much cleaner)
2. Watching TV on Wednesday nights with Dad while everyone else was at church (criminal minds just wont be the same)
3. Hard wood floors instead of carpets (I hate vacuuming)
4. Nate (‘nuff said)
5. Mom’s wonderful advice (getting it over the phone or email just isn’t the same)
6. The DVR (I got sucked into some dumb show today and wanted to go grocery shopping but I just couldn’t pull myself away cuz I knew I wouldn’t be able to see then end of it..when at home I could have just pressed record and then came back to it after the groceries!!)
7. The housekeepers (never thought I’d say this one..)
8. Easy homework, and not much reading…
9. Boots the beagle puppy (no matter how smelly, gross and annoying he can be…he still has part of my heart :-P)
10. Dinners made for me so I don’t burn my thumb (happened twice now..same thumb)
11. Jake’s excitement about politics or history, or whatever it is that day, and overhearing him get heated or excited to tell whoever will listen.
12. Being able to drive over to either grandparent’s house just to say hi if I wanted
13. Not having to pay rent (this one is kinda not fun)
14. Katie stealing my clothes (okay actually I’m really happy that I don’t have to deal with that…she just wasn’t on the list yet… :-(aww I miss my sister )
15. The swamp cooler (no matter how hot it is outside, I can usually stand under it for a little bit and cool down
16. The lighting in the bathroom at home (here..I can’t see anything…)
17. Having lunch at the shop (tell Pricilla I said hi!)
18. LHS football games (bundling up in lots of clothes and cheering for the Cowboys <3 and watching dad as he leaves the field during halftime, in hopes that he’ll remember that I’m up there waiting for him to wave or waiting until he came back onto the field for the second half because he forgot to wave before)
19. Constantly being updated on what my family is up to.
20. Knowing my way around.…and not getting lost and ending up in Reno
